Lower Limb Prosthetics

If you have undergone a leg amputation or transitioning from an Interim Prosthesis to a Definitive Prosthesis we are here to support your recovery.

Our experienced prosthetists will first make a thorough physical assessment and understand your needs. Measurements and an impression of your residual limb are then taken.

A Socket and Suspension system, the part you put on, is fabricated according to your measurements and the rest of your components, such as the prosthetic foot, adapters, knee (if required) are assembled.

The prosthesis is now ready for your first Fitting. Adjustments are made to the socket to ensure a comfortable fit. The prosthesis is then biomechanically aligned so that you can stand comfortably and walk with a natural gait. More fittings maybe required depending on the needs of each individual.

Finally, your completed Definitive Prosthesis undergoes a thorough safety and quality check before it is given to you.

Each Socket is meticulously hand-built in-house, allowing us to guarantee the highest quality standards. This personalized approach ensures that every individual receives a Socket customised to their needs, enhancing their overall experience and functionality while using their prosthesis.

At the Fitting stage, the Socket is attached to the rest of your components, allowing you to experience the prosthesis firsthand. The fit of the Socket and Suspension system will be assessed, ensuring they provide the necessary support and comfort. Next, the prosthesis is biomechanically aligned to facilitate a comfortable standing position and promote a natural walking gait. This stage is crucial for your overall mobility and confidence as you start to adapt to your new prosthesis.
